Event Marketer – Part-Time, Fun, and High-Earning Potential!

Joyce Factory Direct is looking for outgoing, energetic, and talkative individuals to represent us at local events, trade shows, and community gatherings. If you love meeting new people and want to make great money in a fun, fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity!

What It’s Like to Be an Event Marketer at a Show or Event

As an Event Marketer for Joyce Factory Direct, your role is all about engaging with people, creating excitement, and generating leads for our home improvement products. Every event is different, but here’s a full breakdown of what you can expect at a typical show, fair, or community gathering.

Before the Event – Getting Ready to Win the Day!

  • Meet at the event location or, in some cases, a designated meeting spot. You’ll likely arrive early to set up.
  • Set up the Joyce Factory Direct booth, which might include banners, displays, product samples, and promotional materials. You’ll make sure everything looks professional and inviting.
  • Get a quick pep talk from your manager—they’ll go over goals, event details, and any specific strategies to maximize engagement.

During the Event – High Energy & Non-Stop Conversations!

This is where the real fun begins!

  • Attracting People to the Booth
    • The key is to be engaging and confident—stand up, smile, and make eye contact.
    • Use friendly icebreakers:
      • “Hey, have you ever thought about upgrading your windows or sunroom?”
      • “Did you know we’re offering free home improvement consultations today?”
    • Hand out promotional materials, giveaways, or enter attendees into a raffle to encourage interest.
  • Starting Conversations
    • Your job isn’t to sell on the spot; it’s to spark interest and set appointments for a free in-home consultation.
    • You’ll ask qualifying questions to see if someone is a good candidate for our services:
      • “How old are your windows?”
      • “Have you ever thought about adding a sunroom or updating your bath?”
    • Listen to their needs and find ways to connect our products to their home.
  • Booking Appointments
    • Once you’ve engaged a potential customer, you’ll guide them to set up a free in-home consultation.
    • You’ll input their information into a tablet or appointment book, ensuring accuracy and a solid lead.
    • Encourage urgency: “We’re booking up fast—let’s find a time that works for you!”
  • Keeping the Energy Up
    • Events can be busy and fast-paced, so you’ll need to stay on your feet, keep a positive attitude, and engage as many people as possible.
    • You’ll work alongside a team, feeding off each other’s energy, celebrating wins, and staying motivated.

    After the Event – Wrapping Up & Celebrating Wins

    • Pack up the booth and make sure all materials are accounted for.
    • Review how the day went—your manager may go over how many appointments were set and highlight top performers.
    • Share stories about great interactions and celebrate successes with your team!
    • Get paid and look forward to the next event!
