Job Details:
Our job is evening hours, and it is a full time position. Our job is Monday through Friday no weekends. Our job begins at 5:30 pm and ends at 1:30 am.
Duties
- Handle and operate cleaning chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment.
- Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and sanitation of surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning supplies while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleaning equipment by performing routine maintenance and ensuring proper storage after use.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to support overall building upkeep.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or custodial cleaning with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow chemical handling safety procedures meticulously.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff or visitors when necessary.
- Experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is advantageous.
