Joybonds Van Supply is looking for a hands-on, mechanically skilled technician to join our growing team in Newberg, Oregon. This role focuses primarily on exterior and chassis work for overland and adventure vehicles — think suspension builds, lift kits, skid plate installs, roof rack and accessory mounting, and similar upfitting tasks. You'll also pitch in on our adventure van conversion builds, helping bring fully outfitted Sprinter-based FlexVans to life for customers who live and travel off the beaten path. Responsibilities
- Install and service suspension systems including lift kits, shocks, struts, control arms, and related components on overland and 4x4 platforms
- Mount and fit exterior accessories such as roof racks, bumpers, skid plates, sliders, awnings, and lighting systems
- Assist with adventure van upfitting including cabinetry installation, electrical rough-in, and interior component fitting on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter builds
- Perform general mechanical maintenance including brake service, wheel and tire work, and basic drivetrain inspections
- Read and follow build sheets, manufacturer specs, and technical documentation to complete work accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and uphold shop safety standards at all times
- Document completed work and flag any issues or change orders to the lead tech or shop manager
Skills & Experience
- Solid hands-on mechanical experience, particularly with suspension systems, 4x4 platforms, or overland vehicle modifications
- Comfort working with hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and shop equipment
- Experience with or strong interest in van conversions, overlanding, or adventure vehicle builds is a big plus
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and build specifications
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently in a production shop environment
- Good communication and a team-first attitude — we're a small crew and everyone contributes
Pay: $25.69 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
