Machine Operator - 1st Shift
Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt/Hourly
Joy-Mark, Inc. is a manufacturing facility located in Cudahy, WI. We use automated vacuum forming and mixing processes to produce a wide variety of custom made foundry feeding aids and insulating metal handling products.
We are looking for someone to join our team as a Machine Operator on 1st shift. Our 1st shift hours are 7a-3p, M-F.
Pay begins at $17/hr.
Production:
- Responsible for operating machines to keep a constant and consistent production flow
- Ensure production continues to deliver maximum output at the highest quality
- Troubleshoot, train, and assist when issues arise
- Help to ensure objectives and goals are communicated and met daily
- Maintain the cleanliness of work areas and tools by using water hoses and/or a power sprayer
- Monitor output for any defects and reject any non-conforming parts
- Follow production cards/work orders to complete required orders during shift
- Notify proper personnel immediately of any issues
- Maintain any equipment used at the oven and notify applicable personnel of any issues
- Follow all Health and Safety guidelines
- Responsible for helping production supervisor hit required numbers
- Follow proper quality control procedures, and report any deviation from procedures
- Guarantee manufacturing remains smooth and efficient
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience
- Self-starter and focused
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Must have technical capacity and the ability to use a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must have ethical conduct and a good attitude
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Driven by results and takes initiative
- Dependable transportation
- Regular and consistent attendance
- High school diploma or equivalent
