Job Description:
This Vice President, Public Sector is responsible for managing public sector affairs initiatives for the organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with government entities at the federal levels, as well as for driving profitable sales growth and business development across Mobilize’s stakeholders.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Federal government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders, to advocate for the organization's interests and promote its objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of the Federal government processes, policies, and regulations, as well as excellent communication, advocacy, and project management skills.
You will build a team that engages directly with governments to change policy and obtain support for government-wide adoption of Mobilize products.

Salary: $150,000-$210,000
Time Commitment: 9AM-5PM MST (Full-Time) Monday - Friday

Primary Responsibilities:
New business development and solution selling to Federal government officials
Build and deepen executive relationships with public sector stakeholders, to include lobbying and advocating for Mobilize’s interests
Ability to leverage C-level relationships with executives
Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating a relevant value proposition to potential public sector customers
Understand the technical considerations, certifications, and procurement processes specific to the public sector
Assist the team in managing C-Suite relationships with key customers and stakeholders
Responsible for all Public Sector functions for the company
Recruit, retain, and coach a growing team to create a culture of high performers
Lead corporate discussion of pricing strategy and business development, and partnership programs in public sector and defense sectors
Lead discussion around strategy and cost for adapting Mobilize products to the public sector, and creating new products and features
Own the resulting public affairs strategy and its high level execution
Own relationships for public sector key accounts
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in public policy, lobbying or related roles, preferably in the Defense industry (Bachelor’s degree in public policy, government/public sector affairs or related field preferred).
Strong attention to detail and a task-oriented mindset.
Strong knowledge of government procurement and grant processes, policies, and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing public sector/affairs strategies, initiatives, and campaigns.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
Strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating complex projects and initiatives.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with relevant industry or issue-specific knowledge of policy relating to defense or technology, is a plus.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to government affairs activities.
Extremely comfortable working in a fast paced, start-up environment.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience with Regulatory and Compliance initiatives
Advanced understanding of Google Suite
Proactively identifying risks or problems, and putting plans in place to fix them
Work effectively with Mobilize staff at all levels, in all departments
Able to work with diverse, geographically distributed teams
Requirements:
Able to pass a security background check
Able to travel (Mandatory travel 3 times per year for company work retreats)
Able to participate in all virtual calls with camera on (required during interviews)
Must be a United States citizen
