Job Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, safety‑minded Technical Service Representative to support Electric Rope Shovel repairs at customer mine sites—primarily in the Safford & Morenci area. You’ll spend your days troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on electric rope shovels, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with major capital rebuilds and overhauls.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Electric rope shovel troubleshooting, inspection and audit teams.
- Accurately report machine condition, repair/maintenance recommendations, time to repair/service.
- Facilitate development of maintenance strategies that promote safety, system reliability, and the reduction of unplanned down time.
- Assist electricians with installations and wiring of electric rope shovels.
- Effectively communicate to Customer Supervisors, Managers, Internal Employees, Engineering and Product Support on any customers needs.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be proficient at using Computers.
- Must be able to connect monitoring devices to analyze signals and interpret data that we will be gathering at any given time.
- Must be knowledgeable in Electrical Theory and in the Electrical Field.
- Understand how circuits work and how to read and understand Electrical Schematics.
- Must be able to safely work in a Team Environment for the betterment of Komatsu Mining.
- Must be prepared to perform Root Cause Analysis on failures and effectively draft reports for customers, internal personnel and Product Support.
- Must have great communication skills in person, on the phone and on a computer.
