What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Painter position at Joy Contracting?
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled painter with experience in residential and commercial jobs to join our team at Joy Contracting.
Drivers license and a car are required to be considered for this position.
Duties
- General experience with rollers, brushes and equipment for paint spraying exteriors.
- If you can spackle and have some skills in other general contracting or are ready to learn new skills, that is a huge plus.
- Ability to sand, clean and taping surfaces to prepare them for painting.
- Ability to measure areas for painting.
- Ability to accurately calculate paint quantities for jobs.
- Ability to take initiative on job sites.
Requirements
- Drivers License and a car.
- Ability to paint interiors and exteriors.
- Ability to paint trim work.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to communicate well with others.
- Able to work with a team.
Additional Preferred Qualifications.
- Basic drywalling and spackling abilities to repair surfaces as needed.
- If you are able to work alone and stay on task that is a huge plus.
- Experience with airless paint spraying is a huge plus.
- Basic knowledge of trim carpentry is a plus.
