This is a volunteer, unpaid board position for a Director of Development (Grants & Funding). This role may be performed remotely, with a preference for candidates based in or familiar with Central Florida (Orlando and Tampa).
As a member of the Board, you will play a key role in supporting the organization’s growth through grant funding. Responsibilities include researching, writing and submitting approximately 3 to 5 grant applications per month, as well as helping identify new funding opportunities aligned with the mission.
This position includes participation in one monthly board meeting, along with ongoing collaboration with leadership to support funding strategy and organizational goals.

- Research, write and submit 3 to 5 grant applications per month
- Identify and track new grant opportunities and funding sources
- Collaborate with leadership to align funding strategy with organizational needs
- Assist in developing compelling narratives and materials for grant submissions
- Participate in monthly board meetings and contribute to strategic discussions
- Experience in grant writing, fundraising or nonprofit development
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Passion for nonprofit work, especially in women’s health or cancer support
- Organized, proactive and mission-driven mindset
- Previous board experience is a plus but not required
