Part-Time Driver & Facilities Associate
JOURNEYS | The Road Home is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services and shelter to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability.
Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Facilities/Transportation Manager, we are seeking to create a team of reliable and safety-focused Part-time Drivers. These part-time positions are responsible for transportation of our clients and minor maintenance at our facility. The positions will have a regular work schedule that may require early morning, evening, and/or weekend availability. Compensation will be $17.00 per hour.
Essential Requirements:
- Age 21 or older to meet vehicle insurance requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Have a valid driver’s license & a good driving record
- Comfort with driving an 8-12 passenger bus (no special license required)
- Pass a criminal background check
- Ability to lift and move items in excess of 40 pounds
- An ability to follow instructions and follow a schedule
- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicle to transport passengers, goods, or materials as assigned.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery instructions.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Provide courteous and professional service to clients, community partners, and staff.
- Complete assigned facility maintenance projects.
