Position Overview
We are seeking a Gifted & Talented Educator who is passionate about supporting advanced learners and excited to help build something truly special. This role is ideal for an educator who values depth over pacing guides, curiosity over compliance, and relationships over rigid systems.
You will work with small cohorts of gifted learners, designing instruction that honors their strengths, interests, and unique learning profiles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement personalized, mastery-based instruction for gifted learners
- Develop and support Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) for each student
- Facilitate inquiry-based, interdisciplinary learning experiences
- Create a classroom culture that supports intellectual risk-taking, creativity, and emotional well-being
- Collaborate closely with families, colleagues, and leadership
- Observe, document, and reflect on student growth beyond traditional grading
- Support social-emotional development, including asynchronous development and twice-exceptional needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Gifted education licensure, certification, or documented experience with gifted/high-ability learners
- Strong understanding of gifted characteristics, including underachievement and twice-exceptionality
- Experience with personalized, inquiry-based, or mastery-based learning models
- Passion for innovative education and willingness to grow with a brand new school
- Strong communication, collaboration, and reflective practice skills
