What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Sales Executive position at Journey?
We're looking to fill a client's need for this role:
- 5–7 years of freight brokerage sales experience with a consistent track record of winning new business
- Demonstrated ability to generate $10M in new revenue annually (after ramp)
- Experience selling into verticals such as food & beverage, automotive (Tier II), building materials, energy/project logistics, refrigerated, paper goods, and cross-border (Mexico/Canada)
- Strong understanding of pipeline management and a disciplined, process-driven approach to prospecting
- Consultative, solutions-based selling style with strong executive presence
- Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Intermodal experience a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (depending on experience)
- Commission: 10% of gross margin (Year 1), 5% (Year 2), 2% (Year 3), with reset opportunities on growing accounts

- Travel: Significant travel expected — this role is built for someone who wants to be in front of customers
