What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Business Development Manager position at Journey Payroll & HR?
Why Journey
Journey Payroll & HR is an award-winning, people-first company. Our growth comes from top tier service, with incredible client retention, and every department operating as one team. There's no "sales vs. operations" at Journey. We win together, and our clients feel it.
The Role
The Regional Business Development Manager is a senior connector and community builder responsible for cultivating high-trust relationships with accounting firms, insurance agencies, and other strategic partners across the Denver or Boulder markets. Your job is to be present and visible in the community, with networking events and regular engagement with referral partners. Provide leads to our team to close them, and continue to nurture relationships you create to have them continue to refer Journey Payroll & HR.
Distinctive to Journey: you won't be pulled into the time-consuming closing and paperwork process. Qualified leads are routed to our internal team, freeing you to stay externally focused and keep partner relationships thriving. (Contrast: many big-brand "account executive" or "Sales Consultant" roles emphasize full-cycle closing and heavy pipeline administration. We've intentionally designed this role to prioritize high-level networking and partner development).
What You'll Do
If you're a Colorado payroll sales pro who loves the community side of growth, and you want a team that wins together, we'd love to meet you.
