What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Journey Homes?
We are hiring for Part-Time Morning shifts (7am-3pm) and every other weekend at our Adult Family Homes, supporting adults with disabilities.
If you are reliable, have a strong work ethic, have a positive, patient demeanor, and can build a good rapport with our clients, we would like to talk to you. If you enjoy helping people, are able to administer medications, adhere to health and safety standards, and ensure proper documentation, this may be a great fit for you. No CNA license is required.
This position is responsible for providing active treatment (primarily for Activities of Daily Living), implementing individual treatment/behavior programs, general household work, daily activities, as well as assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities with normal day to day activities. Also responsible for assisting individuals with acquiring skills for personal independence.
In addition to working as a Caregiver, the Caregiver serves as a counselor, guide, coach, and mentor in a long-term, ongoing relationship with the individuals we serve. Caregivers will provide client support through activities in efforts to improve the client’s quality of life.
