Journey Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In this leadership role, you'll provide strategic direction and oversight for project delivery, mentor project teams, and partner with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional outcomes throughout the lifecycle of complex construction projects.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER?
- Lead multiple project teams from planning through close-out with a focus on quality, safety, and schedule performance
- Mentor and guide Project Managers and Project Engineers to support professional growth and consistent execution
- Establish project objectives, performance standards, and successful delivery strategies
- Partner with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to align scope, budget, and schedule
- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Champion collaboration across preconstruction, operations, and field teams
- Ensure accurate reporting, communication, and documentation throughout project phases
- Promote continuous improvement and best practices across project teams
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 8 years of progressive project leadership experience in commercial or industrial construction
- Proven success managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES NEEDED
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
- Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, scheduling, and budgeting
- Ability to interpret construction documents and lead technical discussions
- Skilled at building relationships with clients, teams, and trade partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a team-first mindset
