Position Title: Young Adults Director
Location: Central to all Cempuses
Department: Next Gen
Ministry: Young Adults (YA)
Reports To: Next Gen Pastor
Job Purpose:
The Young Adults Pastor leads and disciples young adults (18–30) to live and love like Jesus. They cast vision, preach, and develop leaders to create a thriving ministry that connects young adults to community, spiritual growth, and purpose within Journey Church.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Young Adults Ministry Vision
- Cast vision, direction, and spiritual leadership for Journey Young Adults in alignment with the mission of Journey Church: to transform lives to live and love like Jesus.
- Preach and Teach Biblically Relevant Messages
- Prepare and deliver Christ-centered, practical, and culturally relevant messages that engage young adults and inspire spiritual growth.
- Develop and Disciple Leaders
- Identify, mentor, and equip young adult leaders to grow in character, calling, and leadership capacity through consistent investment and coaching.
- Oversee Young Adults Gatherings and Events
- Plan, execute, and evaluate weekly gatherings, retreats, and outreach events that foster spiritual depth and community connection.
- Collaborate Across Campuses and Ministries
- Partner with campus pastors, creative teams, and other Next Gen ministries (Youth, Kids, etc.) to ensure alignment, unity, and shared culture.
- Shepherd and Care for Young Adults
- Provide pastoral care through prayer, counseling, and relational connection — helping individuals navigate faith, purpose, and life transitions.
- Empower Groups & Volunteer Systems
- Lead through the Young Adults Coordinator to ensure health and growth of small groups, volunteer teams, and leadership pipelines.
- Champion Outreach and Evangelism
- Create opportunities for young adults to reach their friends and communities through relational evangelism, service, and campus engagement.
- Oversee Communication and Content Strategy
- Work with the Creative Team to develop engaging social media, branding, and storytelling that reflect the voice and heartbeat of Journey Young Adults.
- Steward Budget and Ministry Resources
- Manage the Young Adults ministry budget responsibly, ensuring wise stewardship of church resources to maximize ministry impact.

Sunday Responsibilities:
- Love, encourage and pastor people
- Connect with new Young Adults
- Be available for ministry time with individuals
- Lead/Assist with Growth Track when assigned
- Secure campus facility following services when assigned
Qualifications / Experience:
- Multiple year’s experience in ministry or church vocational work is preferred
- Experience in a multisite church
- Experience in organizing multiple projects and events
- Organized; flexible; able to Multitask
- Exemplary oral & written skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This role is responsible for the supervision of the Young Adults Dream Team volunteers.
