CONTENT CREATOR

Fern Park Campus | Contractor | Fern Park, Fl.

About The Opportunity

Journey Church is seeking a creative and dependable independent contractor to help capture and share stories of what God is doing through our church.

The Contract Content Creator will produce engaging photo and video content for YouTube and other Journey Church digital platforms. This work will help make Jesus accessible to anyone by highlighting meaningful ministry moments, communicating clearly, and creating content that reflects the heart and culture of Journey Church.

We are looking for someone who loves people, values excellence, approaches their work with joy, and understands the responsibility that comes with telling the stories of a local church.

Contract Services

Services May Include:

  • Capturing photo and video content during designated weekend services, After Talk recordings, Church at Home moments, and special events
  • Editing YouTube videos, promotional clips, and short-form content
  • Creating engaging YouTube Shorts and other platform-ready videos
  • Selecting and editing photos for approved church use
  • Creating or editing YouTube thumbnails and supporting graphics
  • Assisting with captions or promotional copy when included in the project scope
  • Preparing and delivering content in the correct formats for YouTube and other digital platforms
  • Organizing and submitting completed content through Journey Church’s approved systems
  • Completing projects according to agreed-upon briefs, deadlines, and brand standards

Specific monthly deliverables, capture dates, deadlines, and revision expectations will be established in the contractor agreement. Additional projects may be agreed upon separately.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal contractor will have:

  • Demonstrated experience capturing and editing photo and video content
  • A strong portfolio featuring YouTube, short-form, event, ministry, nonprofit, or brand content
  • Proficiency with relevant video-editing and photo-editing software
  • An understanding of YouTube, digital storytelling, and platform-specific content formats
  • Strong instincts for visual storytelling, composition, pacing, sound, and editing
  • The ability to manage projects independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines
  • Clear, proactive, and professional communication
  • The ability to receive creative direction while taking ownership of the final deliverable
  • Care and discretion when capturing personal, pastoral, or sensitive ministry moments
  • The equipment, software, transportation, and tools necessary to complete the agreed services

Our Culture

At Journey Church, We:

  • Love God
  • Love People
  • Pursue Excellence
  • Choose Joy

Because this content represents the public voice and ministry of Journey Church, the selected contractor should be able to create work that is respectful, trustworthy, mission-aligned, and consistent with these values.

We value creatives who are teachable, honor others, care about the people behind the content, and take ownership of their work from the initial idea through final delivery.

Work Arrangement

This is an independent contractor engagement rather than an employee position.

Some projects will require scheduled on-site content capture during weekend services, recordings, or special events. These dates will be coordinated in advance with the Online Director. The contractor will otherwise independently manage their creative process, editing schedule, equipment, and method of completing the agreed deliverables.

The selected contractor will be required to sign an independent contractor agreement addressing the scope of services, payment, confidentiality, privacy, content ownership, and appropriate use of Journey Church systems and materials.

Applicable background screening or safety training may be required when projects involve children’s, student, or other sensitive ministry environments.

How To Apply

Please submit:

  • A brief introduction
  • A résumé or summary of relevant experience
  • A portfolio or links to recent photo and video work
  • Examples of YouTube or short-form content you have created
  • A list of the primary equipment and editing software you use
