Purpose:
Journey Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Mental Health Therapist/Clinician to provide mental health services to children who have been impacted by child abuse. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals and families who have experienced trauma. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for clients.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Provide mental health services including diagnostic assessments, individual behavioral health therapy, group behavioral health therapy, and telehealth therapy
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs
- Provide information and referrals as needed
- Maintain full case load and accompanying electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality
- Maintain current licensure in the state of Ohio
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage crisis situations effectively
- Regularly attend scheduled staff and MDT meetings, group and individual supervision
- Represent Journey Center in public speaking engagements, education and training programs
- Able to promote discussions regarding supportive, collaborative, healthy relationships
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling required
- LSW or LPC required
- LISW or LPCC preferred
