POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Executive position focuses on the development of new accounts and driving expansion across Journal Graphics existing accounts. As an AE, you will be responsible for building strong customer relationships and ensuring a premium experience with existing and potential customers. This is a hybrid role, with work performed both remotely and in office.

Essential Functions:
- Create sales strategies that will increase revenue growth of new and existing customers
- Develop close relationships with customers to align with Journal Graphics business plans and drive mutual profitability to meet the company’s sales financial targets
- Meet directly with customers to explain Journal’s value proposition
- Meet and exceed monthly sales performance expectations and deliver on annual target
- Responsible for managing monthly and annual forecast budgets. Ensure this information is communicated regularly to leadership
- Remain knowledgeable of Journal Graphics products and services to encourage additional sales growth
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects to develop into new sales
- Monitor industry developments (competitive advantage, paper market, expanded offerings) and apply critical thinking for strategic and customer impact analysis
- Generate new leads with targeted businesses that work well with Journal Graphics’ production capabilities
- Be a good partner. Build strong relationships with Journal teammates
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Service to influence and make decisions that assure quality from order entry through delivery
- Review estimates prior to customer submission to ensure accuracy

Amount of Travel Required: 5% to 20%

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and/or 3 years of printing sales, packaging sales, or paper, sales experience
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years in printing, packaging, or paper industry
- Minimum of 3 years sales experience
Computer Skills:
- Proficient user of Windows based computer systems and MSO; Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently
- Must be able to use computer keyboard and computer monitor frequently
- Must be able to carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Hearing protection and closed-toed shoes are required while on the Production Floor
- Must use proper PPE and follow all safety guidelines and regulations
