Position Overview:
The Planning & Analysis Director will help shape the future of our real estate portfolio. This newly created position sits at the intersection of portfolio strategy, asset management, and finance, with meaningful visibility and impact across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality forecasting and variance analysis to proactively identify risks, performance, and value-creation opportunities
- Prepare an annual budget collaborating with accounting, treasury, tax and the real estate investment and asset teams
- Model, analyze and scenario plan asset allocations to balance performance with risk
- Develop internal real estate investment valuations utilizing a liquidating property-level balance sheet and capital account waterfall approach
- Monitor real estate KPIs, communicate fund performance and collaborate with treasury and the real estate teams to manage fund cash flow and balances
- Lead or participate in special projects that contribute to long-term business plans and financial strategies, providing insights and recommendations
- Lead and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development
- Implement and maintain systems, processes and tools to streamline and improve financial planning and analysis to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, along with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate industry
- Strong ability to interpret complex financial data, perform scenario/sensitivity analysis and provide strategic advice
- Outstanding presentation skills to clearly communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders and executive leadership, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organized, dependable, and attentive to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously
