Biopharmaceutical company in Rockville, MD is seeking a Scientist to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Perform cell culture media preparation to support bioprocessing experiments.
- Set up and operate bioreactors for various process runs, ensuring optimal conditions.
- Conduct process sampling and accurately record data for analysis.
- Analyze collected data to support process development and quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project objectives and maintain lab operations.
- Utilize robotic mini-bioreactors, SCADA systems, and analytical instruments as part of experimental workflows.
- Participate in additional lab duties to ensure smooth operations and support innovation projects.
- Work on a rotational basis for weekend coverage, with potential for continuous weekend shifts.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Data Science, or a related scientific or engineering field (Graduate degree preferred).
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and bioreactor operation.
- Experience operating bioprocessing equipment and aseptic techniques.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and design of experiments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
