Leading consumer goods company looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of lab experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
Responsibilities
- Minimum of 2 college chemistry courses, qualitative and quantitative analysis; associate’s degree in science is preferred, or 2 or more years of lab experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic production environment.
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel and SAP.
- Must be able/willing to rotate between day shift, afternoon shift and midnight shift.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
Requirements- Conduct tests on raw materials and finished products using various lab instruments to ensure they meet specified quality standards, providing recommendations based on the results.
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and other applications to input data related to raw materials and finished goods.
- Generate Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Conformance, and Certificates of Compliance.
- Accurately log information and test results in SAP, adhering to the Quality Control system. Enter data into the Quality Database.
- Follow established protocols for retaining and disposing of samples. Maintain and prepare hazardous waste and scrap for disposal in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain adequate lab supplies and adhere to the 5S routine and task sheet.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments and solutions. Possess basic skills to perform various tests, including but not limited to: manual acid/base titrations, Huckabee Fluoride Determination, Cr 6 titration, Brookfield Viscometer Nickel titration, Spec 20 Spectrometer, Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), and particle size determination.
- Participate in and contribute to the investigation of raw material and finished product discrepancies arising from internal non-conformances and/or customer complaints.
As training progresses:- Manufacture and package Sundry items, adhering to the target schedule and performing cycle counts of raw materials used in Sundries.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for critical equipment and analyses.
- Obtain and maintain a forklift truck license.
