Responsibilities
- Actively involved in executing experiments and data collection
- Spend most of their time on LC/MS sample preparation and data acquisition.
- Performing sample preparation methods will include protein, metabolite, and lipid isolation from various biological samples, including but not limited to tissue, cell pellets, urine, stool, and blood.
- Perform and monitor LC/MS instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Responsible for analyzing and organizing the LC/MS data collected into various visualization software applications that will be sent to the primary investigator.
- Additional duties will include monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting the LC/MS instrumentation.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related area
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) or other analytical chemistry-based sample preparation is preferred.
- Strong work ethic, will be detail-oriented and organized, and able to work independently although proper supervision and training will be provided
