Job Title: Director of Lab Informatics

Overview:
Our client is seeking a Director to lead the build-out of the informatics infrastructure for a purpose-built, high-end analytical laboratory addressing critical gaps in food, beverage, and ingredient testing. This is a high-impact role within a rapidly growing organization, offering full ownership of the design and implementation of the lab’s informatics backbone, including LIMS, data systems, and integrations.
Responsibilities
- Own and architect the organization's LIMS and laboratory informatics ecosystem end-to-end
- Design, configure, and optimize workflows from sample accessioning through COA reporting
- Integrate analytical instruments and scientific data systems with LIMS and reporting platforms
- Build and maintain automated reporting, dashboards, and data visibility tools
- Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and applicable regulations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical or science degree.
- 5 years of experience in IT, laboratory informatics, or technical systems roles with demonstrated hands-on ownership
- Direct experience implementing, configuring, or administering Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Strong proficiency with SQL, database architecture, and reporting infrastructure
- Experience integrating analytical instruments and scientific data systems (e.g., LC–MS/MS, HPLC, GC–MS, ICP–MS)
- Ability to operate independently with end-to-end accountability in regulated, data-integrity-driven environments
