Analytical Chemist

Job Title: Analytical Chemist
Location: Mason, OH 
Pay Range: $41.00 - $46.00/hr
Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent 

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing and characterization of finished products and raw materials using established laboratory methods.
• Operate analytical instrumentation including HPLC, UV-VIS, atomic absorption (AA), and other laboratory equipment.
• Conduct sample preparation and analytical procedures such as chromatography, titration, gravimetric analysis, viscosity testing, and pH measurement.
• Support method transfer and validation activities to ensure reliable and reproducible analytical methods.
• Document laboratory work in compliance with GMP notebook and quality documentation standards.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party laboratories to support testing initiatives and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Review analytical reports and ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to documentation standards.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
• Experience in analytical chemistry laboratory environments
• Experience with method transfer and method validation
• Experience collaborating with third-party laboratories or external partners
• Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate laboratory notebook documentation
• Ability to analyze data and translate results into clear technical findings
  

• Experience with CISPRO and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Experience using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, AA, UV-VIS, and XPS.
• Experience with titrations, viscosity testing, and other analytical chemistry techniques.
• Familiarity with GMP documentation practices and Nexus verification systems.
