SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNTIY:
The GC Superintendent is to provide on-site coordination for all phases of the job, including direction of field professionals, carpenters, and laborers; coordinating material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule. The Superintendent also assists in other responsibilities including scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety. This position reports to the Field Operations Manager (FOM). The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in a public setting. Jostin requires all employees to work collaboratively as a team with other Jostin employees and trade partners.
PROJECT AND SITE OPERATIONS
• Lead and manage day-to-day operations on assigned construction sites.
• Control and maintain the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, deliveries, lay-down areas, hoisting, and site logistics.
• Supervise and monitor trade contractor work and quality on a daily basis.
• Assist and supervise internal workforce on self-perform scopes.
• Distribute master project schedules and look-ahead schedules.
• Assist with buy-out, preconstruction tasks, and project closeout.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
• Drive quality control.
• Ensure work meets contract documents and specifications.
• Maintain little to no punch work.
• Review job costs with the Project Manager.
SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE
• Enforce all safety protocols.
• Complete daily reports, JSAs, equipment inspections, permits, and toolbox talks, accurately.
• Report safety incidents immediately.
• Manage inspections and permits.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND DOCUMENTATION
• Submit payroll accurately by 9:00 a.m. Mondays.
• Complete daily Procore reports.
• Report attendance issues.
• Complete disciplinary and pulse check documentation.
• Respond to emails within 24 hours.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
• Track, inventory, and properly store tools and equipment.
TRAINING AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
• Train and mentor field professionals.
• Ensure job classification accuracy.
• Complete all required training.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5-7 years successful experience as an onsite, lead commercial construction Superintendent.
- Strong technical and communication skills.
- Construction document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.
- Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
- Experience with estimating construction projects, bid processes, assembling scope of work, and subcontractor scope review.
- Familiar with management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Field Ease, Primavera).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- OSHA-30 certification (Obtain within 2 weeks of position).
- The ability to work irregular hours, including weekends when necessary.
- The ability to exert oneself physically, (ex. climbing ladders) as needed.
- The ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing. Some travel may be required.
