Job Title: Family Teacher/Youth Support Specialist
Employment Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Location: Wabash, IN
Position Summary: This position plays a pivotal role in creating a structured, home-like and faith-centered atmosphere for our youth using the Teaching Family Model (TFM). Youth Support Specialists are members of the treatment team who demonstrate healthy values, ensure the safety and wellbeing of our youth within a structured environment, and develop opportunities for relationship building.
Responsibilities: A Youth Support Specialist functions as a positive role model for our youth. They will provide mentorship and valuable life skills training, set and maintain consistent rules, and accompany residents to appointments when necessary. This role involves hands-on duties from supervising daily tasks to engaging in conflict resolution and using MindSet physical restraint techniques when necessary. The person in this position will also work with staff and treatment teams to develop, implement, and review residents’ treatment plans and quarterly reports.

Requirements:
- Must be an individual with strong convictions who aligns with Josiah White's mission, values, Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to demonstrate organization, flexibility, patience, and effective communication and relationship building skills.
- Monday through Friday from 2 pm to 10 pm
- Rotating schedule from 7 am to 10 pm ***This shift is eligible for free housing and utilities.
