Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the medical practice, including front desk activities, clinical support, and administrative functions
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, billing, coding, and financial management to ensure profitability and sustainability
- Supervise and support medical administrative staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all medical records and patient information
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize practice management workflows and improve patient experience
- Monitor clinic performance metrics, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to JCAHO standards and other regulatory requirements
- Oversee scheduling, patient flow management, and appointment coordination to maximize clinic efficiency
- Ensure proper handling of medical terminology, billing procedures, managed care protocols, and utilization management processes
- Manage office supplies inventory, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships to support seamless operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration with a strong background in clinic or dental office settings
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading teams within a healthcare environment
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such ModMed familiarity with outpatient OR scheduling is a plus
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, medical records management, and compliance standards like JCAHO
- Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, billing procedures, and managed care processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in human resources functions such as staff recruitment, training, performance reviews and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of healthcare management practices including utilization management and insurance claim processing
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices
