This is an opportunity to join a large, nationally operating engineering and construction business that designs, builds, and delivers complex electrical, life-safety, and building systems across major commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise developments throughout the U.S.
The organisation brings together in-house engineering and design teams, large-scale construction delivery, and on-site manufacturing of electrical and low-voltage equipment. Locally, they operate and maintain a portfolio of modern, high-spec facilities, supported by a well-resourced, in-house facilities and engineering team.
The role is based in North St. Pete, managing a portfolio of high-quality buildings in a fast-paced, professional, and well-invested environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life-safety systems
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules across all building systems
- Coordinate external contractors, service providers, and vendors
- Develop scopes of work, specifications, and support RFPs
- Review work orders, bids, and proposals while monitoring budget impact
- Maintain accurate asset registers, maintenance records, and equipment logs
- Support annual inspections and ongoing compliance requirements
- Prioritise daily workflows and support the wider maintenance team
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues efficiently
About You
You’ll bring a strong technical foundation combined with hands-on facilities or building engineering experience in a commercial or campus-style environment.
Key Requirements:
- Strong mechanical and HVAC knowledge (VRF/VRV, VAV, RTU systems)
- Experience working with building automation and energy management systems
- Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, and service partners
- Confident communicator with strong organisational and leadership skills
- Vocational/technical qualification or related degree
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment
