Associate Attorney
River Falls, WI
Our growing personal injury trial practice in River Falls, Wisconsin is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team. We are looking for an attorney who is motivated to build a long-term career within our firm with a genuine path to partnership. While we anticipate many candidates will have several years of legal experience, we are also willing to consider newly licensed attorneys who demonstrate strong potential and are the right fit for our team. We value strong advocacy skills, and a willingness to develop into an accomplished trial attorney.

Core Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the firm's long-term growth through professional development, business development, and leadership opportunities.
- Proactively and independently manage a diverse caseload from initial client consultation through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and writing including drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and appeals.
- Take depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
- Develop case strategy and negotiation tactics in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations and other court proceedings.
- Prepare cases for trial, including fact investigation, expert coordination, exhibit preparation, and trial strategy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing clear communication and practical legal guidance.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to deliver exceptional client service/case outcomes.
- Work as a cooperative team member with staff to keep client files moving by reviewing and answering daily mail and taking client phone calls.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin or eligible for admission.
- A long-term mindset and genuine interest in growing into a leadership or partnership role within the firm.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to develop as a trial attorney
- 2 - 8 years of legal experience, preferably in litigation or another practice area involving advocacy, negotiation, client counseling, or courtroom experience.
