Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and HVAC components in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing installations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete plumbing tasks efficiently.
- Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations while maintaining compliance with mechanical knowledge standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with remodeling projects by assembling plumbing components and integrating new systems into existing structures.
- Conduct heavy lifting and physical tasks safely during construction site activities while following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing, residential plumbing, and commercial plumbing projects.
- Knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques along with experience working on construction sites.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with building code compliance related to plumbing systems including local building codes.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and other mechanical devices.
- Experience with gas piping systems, pipe installation methods, HVAC integration, and MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations).
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills for field service interactions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of safety regulations on-site.
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving if required; handyman experience or remodeling background is a plus.
