Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, including primarily skid steer and excavator experience with some dozer experience prefred. This role involves operating various machinery on construction sites to ensure efficient and safe project completion.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steers, and occasional dozers
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and other construction activities.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment around equipment and work sites.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate operations and ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery.
- Construction site experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor environments for extended periods.
