What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kindergarten Teacher position at Joseph Osgood School?
The duties commonly associated with the position include but are not limited to:
•Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of elementary school pedagogy
•Knowledge of school-wide curriculum materials preferred: Bridges Math, Reader’s Workshop, Heggerty, Fundations, and Social Thinking
•Planning and assessment of instruction, including formal assessment instruments used by classroom teachers
•Planning and delivering effective instruction including small group and whole class instruction
•Promoting high standards and expectations for student achievement with an emphasis on the MTSS model
•Effective communication with students, families, and district employees
•Promoting equity and appreciation of diversity
•Familiarity with educational technology
