Position Summary:

The General Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at

construction sites. The role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work

in various weather conditions. The General Laborer will work under the supervision of the Site

Supervisor or the Owner.

Primary Duties:

  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring that all areas are safe and

free of debris.

  • Remove waste materials and dispose of them according to company protocols.
  • Load and unload construction materials from trucks and move them to designated areas

on the site. Organize and store materials, tools, and equipment properly to ensure easy access and

prevent damage.

  • Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools, including saws, drills, grinders,

and more.

  • May perform routine maintenance on construction equipment to ensure it is in good

working condition, including cleaning and washing vehicles.

  • Provide support to carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled tradespeople as

needed.

  • Deliver tools, materials, and supplies to work areas to facilitate the completion of tasks.
  • Dig trenches, holes, and foundations by hand or using equipment.
  • Ensure that all excavation work complies with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using tools such as a tape measure, chalk,

and marking gauges.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Owner to support the

completion of construction projects.

  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats (when

required), gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Experience:

  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training as necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position with standard working hours from 6:00am to 4:30pm, M-Th
  • Hours may fluctuate due to project needs and location.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project needs.

Additional Information:

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must have valid drivers liscense.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
