Joseph Int’l Freight Service is seeking a qualified, full-time Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This will be a hybrid position - Remote/in-office Coralville, Ia.
Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Job Type: Full time position. M-F, 8am – 5pm.
Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00
Job Summary/Overview: This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving
operational issues within the logistics process with a customer-focused approach. The position plays a key role in ensuring smooth shipment execution, minimizing delays, and improving internal workflows. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Liaison between company and client, providing timely, professional assistance to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in international logistics or freight forwarding
- Knowledge of Incoterms, customs processes, or shipping documentation
- 3 years of international logistics experience
- Proficiency in Transportation Management System (TMS) Software
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Documentation: Understand Transportation Management System and required documentation for import/export shipments.
Rates: Provide rate proposal to Customers/Agents, collecting quotes from vendors and quoting according to set guidelines.
Sales: Assist Company President on sales follow-up, rates/information. Set up new customers in Transportation Management System (Cargowise).
Client Support & Operational Efficiency:
Communicate updates clearly to Clients, Vendors and Agents
Analyze root causes of delays or problems
Coordinate with internal teams, agents, and clients
Monitor shipments and ensure timely execution
Provide quality customer experience
Provide feedback to management on client support and operational issues
Supervisors: Operations Manager and Office Manager
