What are the responsibilities and job description for the .5 Art Teacher Gaudet Learning Academy (4th & 5th Gr.) position at Joseph. H. Gaudet Middle School & Learning Academy?
Develop in each student an interest in and the ability for creative expression in visual terms, utilizing skills and techniques of artistic expression appropriate to the students' interests and abilities; to develop aesthetic understandings and appreciations; to discover and develop talents in students in the field of art.
REPORTS TO: Principal or designee
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Hold or be currently eligible for a valid Rhode Island certification as All Grades Art Teacher, Grades PK-12;
2.Evidence of developing teaching strategies that will address the unique needs of each student;
3.Ability to know and utilize technology in the teaching and learning process;
4.Demonstrated ability to perform the job requirements as evidenced by course work, educational experience, teaching experience, and the interview process.
6.Any such alternative qualifications to the above as the committee may deem acceptable and appropriate.
