Special Education Teacher – Grades 3-5 Long Term Substitute
Luther Elementary School
$120.00 per day for the first 20 days - step one of the SEA contract on day 21
Anticipated start date 01/04/2027.
Qualifications Required:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education
Massachusetts Teacher licensure in Special Education
Experience: Experience working with students with disabilities
Experience working with elementary aged students
Other: Massachusetts Special Education Teacher Licensure
Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
Qualifications Preferred:
Education: Master’s Degree in Special Education
Experience: Experience working with age level of grades 3-5
Prior experience working in a subseparate setting
Prior experience providing instruction for special education students
Prior experience modifying curriculum to meet the specific needs of special education students
SEI Endorsement
Experience working within the MCAS Alternative Portfolio process
Other: Growth mindset; desire to learn and grow
