Field Technician – Air-Supported Structures

Joseph E. Johnson and Sons Construction (JEJS Construction) specializes in the installation, service, and seasonal operation of air-supported structures. We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Field Technician to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Field Technician is responsible for the installation, inflation, seasonal changeovers, and service of air-supported structures. This role requires frequent travel, outdoor work in varying weather conditions, and the use of hand tools and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
· Installation and anchoring of air-supported structures
· Inflation and seasonal startup of dome structures
· Deflation and seasonal takedown procedures
· Inspection and basic repair of membrane systems and components
· Safe use of hand tools and job-site equipment
· Working at heights when necessary
· Following company safety policies and procedures
· Representing JEJS professionally on job sites and with clients
Qualifications
· Knowledge or experience working with air-supported structures (preferred)
· Construction or mechanical experience strongly preferred
· Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools
· Ability to travel for projects (overnight stays required at times)
· Clean driving record (required)
· Valid driver’s license
· Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
· Strong work ethic and reliability
Work Environment
Outdoor job sites in varying weather conditions. Travel required. Physically active role including lifting, climbing, and equipment operation.
