Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction / Landscape professional to join our team. This role involves a diverse range of tasks related to construction, landscaping, and site management, requiring hands-on experience with various tools, materials, and techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction projects, including site preparation, finishing, and landscape installation, with the ability to read blueprints and operate heavy equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on dynamic projects that enhance outdoor spaces and building structures.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction activities such as repairs to cement, blacktop, pavers and landscape restorations
- Execute landscape tasks including hardscape installation, plantings, irrigation setup, and site grading
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for various construction and landscape tasks
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure project accuracy
- Manage demolition, restoration work, and remodeling projects as needed
- Operate heavy equipment safely for excavation, lifting, and material transport
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets safety standards and project specifications
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work or landscape projects with knowledge of construction management principles
- Proficiency in cement, blacktop and paver restoration
- Hands-on experience with concrete forming and masonry work
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., saws, drills) and power tools required for diverse tasks
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for demanding tasks
- Valid and clean driver’s license
- Must pass a physical by a DOT Licensed Medical Examiner
