We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Automotive Salesperson to join our locally owned and community-focused GM dealership.
In a small-town dealership, we believe selling a vehicle is about more than completing a transaction. Our customers are our neighbors, friends, families, and local businesses. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of treating every customer with honesty, respect, and exceptional service.
As a GM Salesperson, you will assist customers with the purchase of new Chevrolet, GMC, and other available vehicles. You will guide customers through the entire process—from the first conversation and test drive to delivery and future follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, no-pressure manner
- Listen to customer needs and help them find the right vehicle for their lifestyle, family, business, or budget
- Demonstrate and explain vehicle features, technology, capabilities, and available options
- Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and test drives
- Maintain knowledge of Chevrolet and GMC vehicles, current incentives, financing programs, and dealership inventory
- Follow up with showroom customers, phone and internet leads, referrals, and previous customers
- Build long-term relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals
- Work with management and the finance department to provide customers with a smooth purchasing experience
- Assist with vehicle deliveries and follow up after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction
- Help keep the showroom and vehicle displays clean, organized, and welcoming
- Represent the dealership positively at community events and through everyday interactions
- Be willing to help where needed and work as part of a small, close-knit team
Qualifications
- Previous automotive sales experience is preferred but not required
- Sales, customer service, or relationship-building experience is a plus
- Friendly, honest, and professional personality
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Comfortable talking with people from all backgrounds and industries
- Basic computer and smartphone skills
- Ability to learn and use dealership software and customer follow-up systems
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
