What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Assistant (JSE) position at Jordan Springs Elementary School?
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an instructional assistant in a public school system or experience working with groups of children preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, and computation skills; good written and oral communication skills; basic computer skills preferred.
- Applicants must meet the requirements for a Title I paraprofessional, including:
- Must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent and
- Must have met one of the following options:
- Completed two years of study (48 credit hours) at an institution of higher education; or
- Hold an associate's (or higher) degree; or
- Have passed the Parapro Assessment through ETS.
Proof of highly qualified certification must be attached to your application to be considered for this position.
Pay Rate:
Instructional Assistant Grade C2b Salary Scale (credit is based on years of full-time experience in a related position)
Assignment:
Full time / 10 months / 183 days
Start Date:
This position is effective with the 2026-2027 school year.
