Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Project Assistant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry, located in El Paso, Texas. In this role, you will provide support to Project Managers, Operations, and other departments to produce quality projects on time and within budget.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the project manager and the whole project team contributing to the entire project lifecycle to maximize productivity.
- Document control activities include reviewing project drawing changes, updating drawing sets with RFIs, transmittals, project closeout documents, etc.
- Organize and manage project documents such as contracts, change orders, invoices, insurance, reports, email communications, OEM manuals, records, and distribute documents to appropriate team members, managers, and stakeholders.
- Verify contracts are fully executed, secure proper paperwork and verify subcontractors are in good standing with vendor compliance prior to starting work; electronically file and distribute contracts, as necessary.
- Oversee various aspects of projects, monitor budget, and provide direct assistance to provide timely project execution.
- Consult with project lead and other project managers to maintain project schedule and efficacy.
- Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals, ensuring material is properly inspected for quantity and is in conformance with contract requirements.
- Provide clerical/administrative support for project team as requested, such as research, document project meetings, and maintain records.
- Work collaboratively and build effective relationships to coordinate efforts with team, builder, site operations and directly managed vendors.
- Assist the Project Manager/Superintendent in creating and distributing the project schedule.
- Ensure all on-site compliance with project procedures & compliance, safety program requirements, ethics, work rules and company policies & procedures.
- Regular attendance required according to company policy to ensure crew can operate at normal efficiency level.
- Performs other duties of a similar or related nature as assigned.

_ Proficient computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite, knowledge of Project Management and scheduling software preferred but not required. _
Education and Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
- Two (2) years of related construction experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clear MVR may be required.
