Responsibilities
- Receive repair orders and complete work efficiently, accurately, and thoroughly
- Diagnose customer concerns and recommend/perform appropriate repairs
- Perform inspections and repairs on various vehicle systems including:
- Engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and alignment
- Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and special equipment
- Work with the parts department and service advisors to communicate vehicle status and additional service needs
- Estimate time requirements for repairs and assist in scheduling
- Execute repairs under manufacturer warranty specifications
- Complete multi-point inspections to identify safety issues or upcoming repairs
- Perform general maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups
- Use power tools safely and in compliance with dealership/manufacturer standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet productivity goals
- Previous automotive technician experience required
- Ford experience required
- ASE certifications preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor in a shop environment
- Strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
