What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant/Paralegal position at Jordan Balkema Elder Law Center?
We are seeking a full-time legal assistant to help grow our team. Jordan Balkema Elder Law Center is a successful, growing, elder law firm with 4 offices in Northern Michigan. This person should be an experienced individual who is organized, hardworking and dedicated to creating long term relationships with clients. In addition to a love of working with Northern Michigan Seniors, the ideal candidate should have strong computer, verbal and written skills with at least 2 years of experience working in a law office. They will need to be able to work independently while under the direction of an attorney.
Experience in elder law, such as estate planning, probate and trust administration, and guardianships/conservatorships is preferred. Other duties include assisting with document preparation, signings and coordinating appointments.
Pay: Salary dependent upon experience.
