Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Description: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing all maintenance operations related to equipment and facilities to achieve 98% scheduled up-time on all equipment. This position requires active participation and leadership in safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities- Maintain all plant equipment to like new condition through preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Maintain building and all associated equipment to like new condition.
- Fabricate parts, etc. from raw materials using standard shop equipment and tools.
- Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns, make repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Operate and work on various industrial and commercial machines and tools.
- Weld using various methods including stick, tig, mig, etc.
- Able to or willing to learn how to safely operate industrial powered lift trucks.
- Must have electrical troubleshooting skills including ability to use various electrical test instruments, read electrical schematics, understand wiring diagrams, etc.
- 5 years electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- 5 years manufacturing experience in a maintenance related position.
- 3-5 years fabrication experience.
- PLC experience a plus
- Prior extrusion, anodize, and automated paint line experience a plus
- Lift 50 lbs. or less as needed.
- Bend over, under, crawl inside, or around various machines and equipment to perform repairs, sometimes working lying down, upside down, or in awkward positions, to make the necessary repairs, as needed.
