Wheel Loader Operator
General Responsibilities
- Work safely - know, understand, and follow all safety rules
- Load and unload log trucks
- Feed sawmill occasionally
- Assist Log Yard Foreman when needed
- Clean up equipment daily
Qualifications
- Experience operating a wheel loader or similar heavy equipment
- Knowledge of hardwood species is preferred
- Enthusiasm for being part of a team and working in a team-oriented environment
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and willing to take initiative
- Ability to cross-train on different loading jobs
- Ability to make decisions quickly utilizing hand-eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
