Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will safely operate a variety of CAT (Caterpillar) heavy equipment used in construction, excavation, material handling, and site development projects. Candidates must be safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate CAT heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, scrapers, haul trucks, and other construction equipment.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
- Complete routine maintenance checks and report equipment issues promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Read and understand work orders, site plans, and project instructions.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, material movement, and cleanup.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and crew members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CAT heavy equipment required.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of equipment safety and operating procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed.
- MSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
