Painter

Description

The Painter works directly with the maintenance team to ensure the property’s aesthetic standards are maintained and all turnover units are completed in a timely manner. The Painter is responsible for overseeing all interior painting projects, drywall restoration, and finishing requirements of the property.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality painting tasks that may include priming, and applying various finishes to walls, ceilings, and trim.
• Ensure vacant units are prepared for occupancy by performing expert drywall repair, taping, mudding, sanding and texturing to create seamless surfaces.
• Utilize professional equipment such as brushes, rollers, and airless paint sprayers to achieve efficient and uniform coverage.
• Protect property by properly using drop cloths and ensuring clean lines in all finished work.
• Work at a fast pace without impacting quality, ensuring make-ready units are completed on schedule for new move-ins.
• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state, and federal laws (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing).
• Dress in a professional manner according to Jones Street uniform policy.
  
  

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in residential or commercial painting
• Proficiency in drywall repair and surface preparation techniques
• experience with paint sprayers is highly preferred
• Excellent time management skills, can easily shift priorities and timelines
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and comfortably work form ladders or scaffolding
