General Manager – Metal Fabrication Shop (Cocoa, FL)
About Us
We’re a small, fast-growing metal fabrication and welding shop in Cocoa, Florida. Our crew takes pride in quality work, reliability, and good relationships with our customers. We handle everything from small custom jobs to light structural projects and repair work.
We’re looking for a General Manager who can take charge of day-to-day operations — someone organized, people-focused, and ready to help our team run smoothly and efficiently. You don’t need to weld or fabricate, but you do need to know how to lead a crew, manage schedules, and keep the business side on track.
What You’ll Do
- Run the day-to-day operations of the shop — scheduling jobs, managing timelines, and keeping projects on budget.
- Support and oversee a small team of skilled fabricators and welders.
- Communicate with customers and vendors about quotes, materials, and project updates.
- Track costs, materials, and hours to make sure jobs stay profitable.
- Keep the shop organized, safe, and productive.
- Work with ownership on planning, budgeting, and growing the business.
- Help improve systems and processes to make things run smoother.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of management or operations experience — ideally in construction, manufacturing, or a trades-related business.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Good with organization, scheduling, and problem-solving.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Some understanding of how fabrication or trade work flows is a plus (but not required).
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Reliable, professional, and willing to take ownership of the role.
Pay & Benefits
- $60,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on experience

Schedule
Full-time | Monday – Friday | Occasional Saturdays if needed
