Our Small Business Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support our team in delivering high‑quality accounting and payroll services to our clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, learns quickly, and brings strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with cash‑basis and accrual‑basis accounting, including transaction classification and adjustments
- Support payroll processing tasks such as data entry, review, and client communication
- Complete data entry projects, including coding transactions and importing/uploading financial information
- Contribute to month‑end close activities, including preparing schedules, reviewing financial data, and identifying discrepancies
- Maintain accurate documentation and help ensure quality control across client files
- Collaborate with team members and clients to gather information and support timely, accurate deliverables
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast‑paced, client‑service environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar is a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
