Jones Plastic is looking for an experienced Corporate Project Engineer to join our growing team.
Corporate Engineers are responsible for the following activities/duties:
- Act as a Liaison between the Account Managers, the Jones Plastic sites, and Customers for existing and new projects.
- Review customer requirements and prints of new products to develop a launch plan and manufacturing plan including needs for work cell, labor, packaging, equipment, fixtures, detection, error proofing, etc.
- Support implementation of all aspects of new product introduction including molds, secondary equipment, and value added processes.
- Manage build schedule and facilitate APQP processes and PPAP processes on new projects.
- Support sites with existing ongoing production by assisting in Problem Solving activities, root cause analysis, corrective action development, and management customer driven engineering changes.
- Assist in Cost Take Out and Cost Containment on existing projects.
SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Must have a four-year technical degree from an accredited college.
- Must have a strong fundamental understanding of injection molded parts and assemblies.
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.
- Extensive travel required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
